Sales Development Representative/Customer Success

DemandStar is seeking a exceptionally motivated, high energy SDR excited to make an impact in transforming the multi-trillion-dollar business-to-government market. Reporting to the VP of Growth, this role offers exceptional opportunity for growth in every area of DemandStar and is a core part of the team, working directly with company leadership, marketing, customer service and product teams. As an SDR,  you’ll have a highly visible, hybrid role that significantly impacts the growth of our company. You will be responsible for executing on our strategy to expand customers across multiple territories on both sides of the DemandStar Network. You’ll help design the customer experience, establish the DemandStar culture and evangelize the brand.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the charge for achieving revenue targets and network growth through outbound activities
  • Talk to our customers.  You’ll help us uncover customer needs and pain points and transfer the knowledge to product development and marketing teams enabling the design of a world class customer experience and engagement
  • Reporting:  You’ll help us implement our CRM, create custom reports and identify the KPI’s the company tracks over time
  • Research and prospect outbound targets
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Driven, eager to learn and a desire to pursue a sales/marketing career
  • 1-2 years of business experience, preferably in a SaaS or start up environment
  • Lead generation experience, including cold calling experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar applications
  • Proficiency in Excel
