Ben Vaught, DemandStar CEO to Speak at NIGP National Forum in Austin

(August 19, 2019)DemandStar, the online network connecting government procurement officers with local and national suppliers, announced today that President and CEO, Ben Vaught will speak at the National Institute for Government Procurement (NIGP) Annual Forum and Products Expo in Austin, Texas, taking place August 25- 29, 2019.

The Annual Forum is the largest North American educational conference exclusively for individuals in public procurement. The forum provides a once a year opportunity to engage in professional development and network with others in public procurement and the supplier community. The educational component of the conference covers the latest hot topics, best practices, resources and skills to help improve job performance and provide professional development.

Ben is the moderator of  “Expanding your base:  New Strategies for Attracting Qualified Suppliers.” This intermediate level class in the technology track, provides procurement professionals with solid takeaways they can use immediately to bring in more suppliers to get the best solution for the best value. This session brings together a panel of experts from both sides (buyer and supplier) to share strategies for attracting more diverse, innovative and qualified suppliers. Participants will learn ways to explore new technologies and strategies to foster better relationships while engaging with their peers in this interactive session.
